Peach and Nectarine Rootstocks
GF 677
The peach-almond hybrid GF 677 is a vigorous rootstock. It is highly tolerant to the calcareous, high in pH and infertile soils. It can be recommended for replanting in the regions peach deplantation is made. Since it is sensitive to root knot nematodes it is not recommended for the heavy soils with high levels of underground water and the fields in which vegetables grew intensely. It is an ideal rootstock for peach, almond, and nectarine varieties as well as some of the plum varieties. The trees grafted on GF 677 yield fruits with better quality.
Cadaman
Cadaman is vigorous nearly as GF 677 is. It is more tolerant to the heavy soils and root knot nematodes. It is moderately resistant to the calcareous and high pH soils.
GxN5 (Garnem)
The rootstock can be adapted to the calcareous and heavy textured soils. It is tolerant to iron chlorosis. This is a rootstock vigorous nearly as Cadaman is. It can be recommended for the fields peach deplantation is made. It has positive effects on the fruit productivity and quality.
